Embroidered polo shirts with your logo
Embroidered polo shirts are the garment you see most often on sales teams, reception staff and at trade shows: they stand up to washing, need little ironing and look smart with jeans or a blazer. Your logo is embroidered on the chest, small and in understated colours.

PlusWeight and knit make the difference
Embroidered polo shirts for business are judged after six months, not on the day they arrive. What decides whether people keep wearing them is the fabric weight: below 180 g/m², piqué loses its shape at the collar and can look see-through; between 200 and 220 g/m², with combed cotton, it keeps its shape and colour after lots of washing. For teams who are on their feet or outdoors, a technical polyester polo at 140-160 g/m² makes more sense: it dries faster and weighs less, although embroidery looks slightly less defined than on cotton.
The other critical point is where the logo goes and how it is applied. Embroidered on the left chest, between 6 and 8 cm wide, it is the standard position on custom corporate clothing and the one that wears best, because it sits away from friction points. If your logo has gradients or lots of colours, embroidery simplifies them: in that case, a transfer or, on technical polos, heat-transfer vinyl is a better option.
Which polo to choose: materials and uses
| Style | Material and weight | When to choose it | Usual branding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic piqué | Cotton piqué, 180-200 g/m² | Large teams and trade shows: the most common choice | Embroidery on the left chest, 6-8 cm |
| Premium piqué | Combed cotton, 200-220 g/m² | Sales teams and reception, when the polo represents the brand | Embroidery on the chest, several thread colours |
| Technical | Breathable polyester, 140-160 g/m² | Outdoor work, sport, teams on their feet all day | Transfer or heat-transfer vinyl |
| Fitted women’s | Cotton with elastane, around 200 g/m² | Mixed teams who want more than a unisex fit | Embroidery of around 6 cm |
| Organic cotton | Organic cotton piqué, 200-220 g/m² | Purchasing with environmental criteria | Embroidery on the chest |
| Long-sleeved | Cotton piqué, 200-220 g/m² | In-between seasons and teams who work outdoors | Embroidery on the chest and, if you want, on the sleeve |
Weights are indicative. The composition of each style is shown on its product page.
Where the logo goes and how it is embroidered
The price on each product page includes one-colour branding in the standard area for that style. Extra thread colours or a second position are included in the quote.
- Left chest, 6 to 8 cm wide: the classic position, away from friction points.
- Sleeve, as a small second position: a detail that stands out in team photos.
- Back, for trade shows and events: the company name can be read from a distance. Transfer or screen printing works better than large embroidery, which adds weight to the piqué and costs quite a bit more.
- Logos with gradients or very fine lettering: embroidery simplifies them, and a transfer stays closer to the original. In the mock-up, you can see how each option looks.
- Dark polo with a dark logo: it gets lost. Change the thread colour or use the white version of the logo.
Typical mistakes when ordering company polo shirts
- Choosing the thinnest polo to save money. After a few washes, the collar opens out and the polo stops being worn.
- Embroidery that is too large. Above 9-10 cm on the chest, the polo starts to look like a uniform and the embroidery pulls on the fabric.
- Using one unisex fit for the whole team. If the style comes in a fitted version, offer it. The size split is optional when you request a quote and is finalised later with the size chart. If you would rather let each person choose their own size and colour, that is handled by the Pekata gifting platform, which is a separate service.
- Mixing garment colours without checking the thread. On navy and on white, the same logo may need different threads.
Where they work best
The polo is the all-rounder for sales and customer-facing teams: it identifies people without making them feel dressed up, and it works all year round. At trade shows, it makes the stand look consistent without spending on single-use clothing, and it fits with the rest of your event merchandise. For field teams, paired with a custom gilet or a softshell, it covers almost any temperature.
If your team works in a shop, warehouse or on the floor, also look at custom workwear, with fabrics designed for daily washing. And for more casual days, custom T-shirts for business with the same logo and colour palette keep the team coordinated.

How we choose
If you wouldn't wear it on a Saturday, it's no good.
The test for a corporate garment is simple: if someone wears it on a Saturday, the money is well spent. That depends on the weight, the cut and that the logo doesn't take up half the back.
- 180-gram cotton for T-shirts, 280 for sweatshirts
- Sizes from XXS to 5XL in basics
- Up to 28 colours to match the corporate tone

The detail
Chest embroidery beats large prints.
Discreet, durable and with a touch of a personal brand. In corporate textiles, less logo means more garment.
